Objectives

Jointly organized by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and the African Union Commission Department of Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals, and organized by DEİK, the Türkiye-Africa Business and Economy Forum (TABEF) serves as a platform not only for high-level political dialogue between African countries and Türkiye but also as a catalyst for stronger business connections and networks.

The Forum offers leading public and private sector representatives the opportunity to discuss and jointly identify recommendations aimed at increasing private sector engagement for inclusive growth and sustainable development. The outcomes of the Forum are expected to inform and enrich the deliberations of the upcoming Türkiye-Africa Partnership Summit and pave the way for a sustainable win-win socio-economic relationship.

In particular, the parties aim to:

  • Raise awareness among Türkiye/Africa business communities about investment and business opportunities in both Africa and Türkiye;
  • Promote understanding of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and its implications for the public and private sectors;
  • Define potential future directions of Türkiye-Africa trade and investment relations;
  • Encourage commercial, industrial, and technological partnerships between the private sectors of Türkiye and African countries;
  • Enhance interaction between Türkiye and African business communities;
  • Strengthen the dialogue platform with African Regional Economic Communities.
TABEF is more than just a forum; it is a strategic roadmap shaping the common future of Türkiye and Africa.
